It’s been an amazing few weeks.
Here’s the updates:
- We’re going to purchase our own building for the TG Center and Archives. This weekend we started off with 10K in support and by the end of the weekend, we were looking at more than 10 times that in support.
- I found out that my research is to be published by Duke University’sĀ inaugural edition of the Transgender Studies Quarterly journal.
- A trans researcher that I really, really respect had some amazing things to say about my research.
- We just had the 21st annual Transgender Unity Banquet.
- A pioneer in the trans movement has asked me to write their biography.
Judge Phyllis Frye’s touching acceptance speech after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 21st annual Transgender Unity Banquet:

I’m really happy to see so many things I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of take root and grow change and be of real use and value to others. If it hadn’t been so horrifically difficult, I’d say that I’ve been given a charmed life. It’s times like this that my heart feels as if it’s going to burst open with gratitude for the really amazing things I’ve been able to be part of.
