So much has happened since I last blogged. Here is the important stuff:
- My grandmother does not have cancer!
- The TG Center construction is almost done!
- The Community Crossroads Foundation will likely have a 501[c]3 in place by the end of August.
Here are some interesting before and after pics of the TG Center:

The TG Center would like to erect a monument on City property for the 2008 Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Much like the TG Center, this will be the only TG Remembrance monument in the world. Here is a photo of the monument we are looking at bringing to Houston:
It is solid marble and about 12 foot tall. It is a stylized tear falling into an ocean of tears.
The City of Houston TG Task Force is set to officially form sometime at the end of August. I’ll be contacting those who were interested in getting on the Task Force toward the beginning of August.
The Transgender Homeless Program is still on track for opening a true, permanent housing program for homeless transgenders. I expect it to start sometime in early to mid 2009.
Here is a new shot of the Community Crossroads Foundation Board of Directors:
Tomorrow I get to see my grandmother for a while and then I go down to Dickinson to see Jodi (wife) and Luke (kid-o).
Last week I spent about an hour on the phone with my brother talking about nothing in particular. It was really amazing! During the past 6 months or so, a lot of healing has gone on in our relationship and I am so happy about it!
Dallas Denny sent the TG Center a commemorative magazine. It is a 1992 copy of her TG magazine, Chrysalis Quarterly inscribed by her. It reads: “My best to the Houston Transgender Center, Dallas Denny”.
PLEASE – donate to the TG Center, if you can. It is really an amazing cause and anything helps!
