Well, this week is crammed full of activity. I have a site I just got commissioned to do for a consulting firm, the City of Houston’s Dept of Public Health just asked me to produce their ad campaign for print media, I have 2 new evidence-based STD interventions specifically for TGs due to be released this week, I have to update the Houston TG Day of Remembrance site and probably do a mock-up site for Vanity’s boutique.
Last week, I went out to the Washington Ave grave yard and… you would not believe the size of this old oak tree that is growing out there! I has to be the oldest oak I’ve ever seen:
Each Branch is the size of a 50 year old oak. The trunk is as wide as a car is long.
It is so large and has so many branches, that it is difficult to make sense of it when you see a photo!
Speaking of large…
I was out at Bear Creek park again and saw this snail in a ditch. It was the biggest one I’ve ever seen! Though you can’t really tell from the following picture, the snail is about the size of a baseball:
Now… about the Day of Remembrance – it will be Saturday, November 17th at the Houston Holocaust Museum. Here is a photo of the victim from Houston:
I’ll be posting the circumstances surrounding her death when the reporter that is investigating her story puts it out in the next few days. The picture was given to me by her best friend who asked that I help get the her story out.
Also, the TH chat is about to undergo a change. Caisha will be taking it over. She is pulling together an IRC channel for TH so that folks can access it via IRC or their IM programs. WOOT!
