I’m off to USCA tomorrow. I rode my bike to the clinic this morning to get a little work done but was back at the apartment mid-morning because one of the only TG Buddhist nuns wanted to visit for the day. Some of you may remember Kim, (I’m sure none of you have seen her in a number of years!) well here she is as of today:
She is a Mahayana Buddhist nun. Her ordained name is Thich Nu Twi Than. Anyway, we ate at a nice vegetarian restaurant called Pepper Tree, then headed over to the Herman Park area where we walked through the Japanese Gardens and visited the pagoda in the rose gardens across the street.
When we got back here, I watered my tsuboniwa, we had tea and talked for a while. Of course, we mostly talked about Buddhism and monastic life. She thinks it is funny that she was the one who wound up being a Buddhist nun and not me. I sometimes wonder about that myself!
Anyway, I just finished packing for my flight out tomorrow : |
I’m not too big on flying.
I found out that I will be speaking in front of about 3,000 people. I am more nervous about flying than anything else!
I’ll be back next Tuesday… so, I’ll miss the next 4 TG happenings : (
I’ll blog a bit once I get settled in Florida.
